DES Mission: To build, sustain, and improve our ability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate hazards.

Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC)

Under the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPC) must develop an emergency response plan, review the plane at least annually, and provide information about chemicals in the community to citizens. Plans are developed by LEPC with stakeholder/partner participation.

Meetings:

LEPC – The 2nd Wednesday of March, June, September, and November.

DES – Contact coordinator for more information as to time, place and minutes of previous meetings.
